The Bible AND science tell us that major disasters are coming.It would take just ONE well aimed solar flare to knock out our power grid.Then what? The Bible says God helps those who help themselves.Unfortunately,we have lost our experience with the God given world and are totally at the mercy of a man created world.When the store has no food,then what? When the pharmacies are cleaned out,then what?When the water faucets run dry,then what?This list goes on and on. By then it's too late to try to learn about all the things that God has provided for ALL of His creations.How many know which berries you can eat and which will make you sick or kill you?How many know where the pennyroyal grows to keep away mosquitos that carry West Nile?How many know where the ginseng grows when you system is drained? How many know where the wild garlic is when you need an antiseptic to clean wounds?Can you find the wild lettuce when you NEED a painkiller?Do you know what to do with wild cherry bark?What about dandelion? What about plantain?When the bullets run out,will you be able to fashion a weapon to bring down a deer?Again this year,I predict another bad winter.The trees are LOADED with nuts. The wild grapes are more abundant than ever.The berries are also. God HAS provided for His creation. It's our own fault if we aren't prepared to use the bounty HE has given.The Abundance of the "Garden of Eden" is still here. We just can't see it

ReplyDeleteThere is a daily give away from God to us~air,water,fire,wind. some plants i know~not what i could or would like to know~but what i do know i do know~Chip thank you for posting this~yes you are absolutely right~i agree with the winter coming~the grapes have flavanoids (?) that are good for us~grape juice that we make ourselves without the preservatives are best for us ~same with the elderberries~grapes thicken our blood in the winter~to help us stay warm against the cold weather and help with our heart~ahhh my passion the Elderberry~i can tell the cold & flu season & when it will happen and how long it will last~and how the winter will be by the humble eldeberry berry~a plant that in some states is eradicated because it is listed as a noxious weed (which means it takes over a field or place farmers graze animals~hmmm maybe the animals need them not what we give them instead)~for years i have elderberried~today i almost have to be part mountain goat to get to them~because of ppl and their "notions" as my gram would say.15-20 yrs ago ppl thought i was crazy because i would go to all that work~then scientist/doctors started studying this humble berry~prevention magazine came out with an article about them being a natural antiboitic~slowly ppl started to try it~now today it is gaining popularity~so what did i hear last week about the "humble little berry"the govm'nt wants to destroy all of these plants and pass laws about it~yep the Bible sure does talk about this~(what we haven't destroyed ourself~the gov'mnt helps to get rid of)the heads are huge this year~the birds get their share too~y~because they need to stay healthy too so they don't make us ill~the Elderberries were a juice/pie my German gram uses all the time~i was too small to know~my brother reminded me about them~it is a gift with a particular plant~not all will have the same~WHY~so that we work together~as the Bible and other teaching tell us to do~dandelions, plaintain, catmint, so many many more~red clover~my asperger granson even knows this~he sees them pulls the head off and munches them~so does his oldest brother as we are walking thru town!~we must co-operate with each other ppl~i really want to scream that loud and long somedays~however~i will add this~not everyone is going to be taught or handed these things~many times they want to be important or special and they will misuse for their own egos or $ or and the list goes on~God is the teacher that gifts us with the plants or other~He will be sure you know it if He wants you to~i do not and will not "teach"~ i will share~but not teach~(so hope this makes sense)♥i still believe that if it is to be "yours" God provides the instructor~you do not go around asking to be "taught" All of my life this has been true~when God wants me to know something He surely makes sure i learn it~i still have free will~but i try to live in His will for me~in the long run i have to say~it is so much easier than fighting both myself and Him.
